Now that December has hit us I’ve been on a Christmas shopping frenzy! I’ve nearly got everyone’s present already which is a huge improvement for me compared to every other year. Here are a few ideas for gift giving this holiday season. Some of these ideas I plan on giving to people, and some I plan on treating myself. It’s always fun to splurge this time of year!
I am a huge sucker for mugs. My kitchen cabinet is overflowing with my never ending mug collection. I can’t stop! Winter is always a great time to cozy up in a blanket with a warm cup of cocoa. Buying a cute and adorable mug as a gift will make any one of your friends happy! It’s also a nice idea to fill up the mug with some hot cocoa packets, tea bags, or some little bits of chocolate to spread that holiday cheer. Both the Monogram Mugs and Mooreland Mugs are from Anthropologie. I absolutely love all of the mugs in Anthropologie! They are so beautiful and add that touch of elegance to your home.
Bath & Body Works always offers fantastic deals during the holiday season. You can often find body lotions on sale which make the perfect stocking stuffer. When Winter comes it brings the cold air with it, so it’s important to moisturize your skin to keep it from getting rough and dry. My favorite body lotions are from the holiday line-Twisted Peppermint which is also a nice minty candle scent, and Jingle All The Way which has a surprising citrus scent.
For the people who love make-up in your life, you can never go wrong with buying them a make-up palette. However, it can get a bit overwhelming deciding which one to buy when there are so many! Practically every make-up brand now has come out with some sort of palette. To make your search a little easier the palettes shown above are all highly rated and highly popular this year. You can’t go wrong with the new Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette which has been getting a lot of love from beauty bloggers recently. The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette and Tartelette Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette have also been extremely popular choices for a while now. Finally, you can never go wrong with an Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette-the newest of these being the smoky eye set.
Shopping for each individual’s personal style in the form of shirts, skirts, dresses, or pants can be a laborious process. That’s why opting for a bag is a much simpler route for the fashion lover in your family. Zara always has good quality bags at affordable prices compared to designer labels. The designs are much more unique as well like the streamlined Leather Tassel Messenger Bag and modern Black Messenger Bag with a chain strap, perfect for those who want to stand out from the crowd.
After Christmas, New Year’s is right around the corner which means that healthy resolutions are on the way. Surprise your work-out buddy with some exercise gear cute enough to wear inside and outside of the gym. The Adidas Polk-a-Dot Hoodie is one of my fave finds this season along with Nike’s Roshe Flyknit Sneakers.
Mom and Dad
It can be tough sometimes figuring out what to get your parents for Christmas. But you can’t go wrong with a fragrance or skincare set for Mom. It provides a bit of luxury which is needed for the Moms who barely have time for themselves. I know my Mom is a big fan of Clinique, and this Best of Clinique set truly has the best of everything. The Estée Lauder Fragrance Treasures Coffret is also a good alternative for Moms who like to wear perfume.
If your Dad is the outdoorsy type Eddie Bauer is a great brand pick. This Men’s Ignitelite Hybrid Vest offers lots of versatility and warmth for the Winter spent outdoors. Also, if you can’t figure out which tie to get for Dad The Tie Bar Style Box from Nordstrom gets rid of the hassle for you!
I hope this holiday gift guide gave you a bit of inspiration for your shopping trips this December. Stay tuned next week for more holiday themed posts. I’m becoming super festive this year!
