Summer Smoothie Recipes

A while back I posted my top 3 favorite smoothies recipes which seemed to get a lot of love. So here is an updated version of my latest smoothie obsessions perfect for the summer.

Banana Smoothie Milkshake

This smoothie tastes just like a vanilla milkshake! It’s deliciously creamy and fills you up for several hours, making a great meal replacement. Rather than indulge in a caloric milkshake, try out this nutritious and delicious smoothie recipe.

Ingredients-

  • one and a half bananas
  • quarter to half cup of milk
  • dash of cinnamon
  • teaspoon of honey (raw and unfiltered)

Orange You Happy Smoothie

smoothieorangeI am not a vegetable lover. However, smoothies are a tasty way to get in your vegetable servings for the day. This carrot and orange smoothie tastes fantastic! It’s completely refreshing with a hint of tang, making a great alternative for those who aren’t into sweets.

Ingredients-

  • one carrot
  • one peeled orange
  • quarter to half cup of water
  • juice from half of a lemon

For a bit of chill add ice, or for a nutritional boost add chia seeds to these sweet and tangy smoothie recipes. Smoothies have taken over my breakfast menu. I love making smoothies because it starts my day off with some much needed healthy motivation.
